ABOUT
Nira graduated from the Occupational Therapy program at the University of Western Ontario, and began her career at Women’s College Hospital in Toronto. The majority of Nira’s work and professional expertise has developed from her years at Baycrest Health Sciences Centre and in her private practice. Nira worked for over 25 years on the Geriatric Psychiatry Community Service team, where she addressed the physical, cognitive, emotional and environmental impacts of aging. Nira supports patients, clients and their families as they navigate new and challenging territories. She has developed special interest in dementia care, and has been featured in several media outlets, including CBC and the Toronto Star. She continues to consult and participate in a variety of community initiatives and programs around Ontario. Nira works collaboratively with clients and caregivers to develop creative solutions to problems, big or small. Nira practices with with compassion, practicality and a holistic lens. .
